Sealy’s Point

Historical note:  The archeological digs that took place at Sealy’s found that this sight was used extensively by hunters and fishermen. Also, on this land once stood a huge mansion house.  Now the only evidence of its existence is the tall windmill that is east of this landing.

Where the Sealy mansion once graced the shoreline, there were found quite a few pottery shards with markings dating it to somewhere around a thousand years before Christ.

By boat:  Short channel off Spring Creek channel, on the left side.  Also, a long channel off of the Flint, on the left-hand side, just across from River Junction Park at Mile Marker 4.4

By vehicle:  Off State Route 374 South

Amenities:  Ramp, boat dock, picnic area, comfort station.

A cozy landing with a long, gradual slope and a nice, long pier.  There is also a handicap pier for fishing to the left of the ramp.  Picnic tables and stoves are scattered along the banks.  They offer a great view of the intriguing waters of Spring Creek.
